DECONSTRUCTING DESIRE: Mass Culture Transformed
Visual Research & Exhibition Projects
Core Philosophy & Key Message
Mass imagery is never neutral. It actively constructs our notions of beauty, success, body, and identity. My practice removes these familiar visual codes from their native environments through spatial distortion, fragmentation, and scale manipulation—making the invisible mechanics of visual influence tangible.
Case No. 1
«Hyper-Body: The Architecture of Desire»

(Subject): Deconstruction of commercial beauty standards and gloss media tropes.
(Method): Extreme scale enlargement, mirror distortion, and material repetition.
(Work): Multi-panel reflective installation (3 m x 5 m) suspended in gallery space.
(Outcome): Visitors walk through distorted representations of themselves merged with mass imagery, transforming passive consumption into active spatial reflection.
Case No. 2
«Echoes of Success: Fragmented Tropes»

(Subject): Symbols of Status and Lifestyle in Contemporary Visual Advertising. (Method): Context-shifting and physical collision of opposing textures (digital screens encased in industrial concrete). (Work): Sculptural series / spatial objects placed in dialogue within an open gallery floor. (Outcome): Highlights the dual position of the viewer—simultaneously target and producer of mass cultural visual norms.
Visual Research & Transformation Methods
— Scaling & Replication (Creating spatial overwhelming)
— Fragmentation & Distortion (Breaking seamless visual narratives)
— Context Displacement (Shifting from media screen to physical artifact)
— Material Embodiment (Translating pixels into physical textures)
