My name is Sonya Yakubova I’m a designer who believes that every visual has a story to tell.

I enjoy exploring ideas, experimenting with form and typography, and finding the right visual language for each project. My goal is to create design that not only looks good, but also communicates with purpose. In this portfolio, I’ve compiled projects in which this approach has manifested itself in various ways.

How do I approach projects?

Exploration. I begin by getting familiar with the project, understanding its goals, values, and visual identity. I also consider the audience and the message the design should communicate. Idea Generation. After exploring the project, I come up with different creative directions and choose the one that best represents its purpose and personality.Visual Design. I experiment with typography, color palettes, shapes, and layouts to create a recognizable visual style. I compare different approaches and refine the most successful ideas.Final Design. Once the visual direction is established, I combine all the elements into a complete design and adapt it to different formats and applications.
