Tiger. Spirit of Movement

The illustration is built upon a reinterpretation of traditional Korean folk painting, Minhwa, where the tiger holds a significant place. For centuries, it has been depicted as a symbol of strength, bravery, and protection against evil spirits. The tiger was not merely a wild animal, but a kind of household guardian capable of bringing prosperity and safeguarding its inhabitants.
The leap becomes a metaphor for life energy, the drive forward, and inner freedom.

The graphic design is inspired by the East Asian tradition of ink wash painting, specifically Japanese sumi-e, where the character of the subject is conveyed through a minimal number of expressive lines.
This is a modern interpretation of the traditional guardian tiger. It symbolizes a strength that does not suppress but inspires; a movement that leads to change; and a protection that transforms a home space into a place of confidence and serenity.
This work can also beautifully complement a commercial space—a studio, restaurant, or office—by establishing a specific mood or completing a compositional design.
