STRANO — a graphic design and object studio from Nizhny Novgorod.
We create distinctive objects for people and brands—from home stools to cafe fixtures.

Cafes, bars, small brands, and cultural spaces are integrated into the logo and social media presence, and the entire space is curated from a single catalog. The interior is neat, but lacks character.

STRANO helps individuals and small projects create spaces with character.
The studio operates in three directions: design, objects, and space. You can order a single element, such as identity design, or the entire chain—from logo to the stool in the hall.
In the initial phase, the studio works with wood, clay, and plastic. I already have experience with each of these materials. Wood is the primary medium—I know how to process it, paint it, and bring out the texture with oil. I have worked extensively with clay, and 3D printing assists in creating complexly shaped details. Therefore, at the beginning, the studio creates small objects that do not have intricate structures.
The work is structured in four stages: we examine the space, conceive the graphics and details, execute them by hand, and integrate them into the environment. We don’t overhaul everything; instead, we amplify what already sets the space apart from others.
The first audience includes small brands, cafes, bars, and cultural spaces in Nizhny Novgorod, such as «Terminal A,» «Record,» «Nice,» «Emigratsiya,» and «Ruki Vverkh.»
The second audience is people who furnish their home or workspace and select items with character.
We don’t start with furniture—that is expensive and time-consuming. The first collection consists of small objects made from wood and clay. Initial stable income comes from design services, followed by the sale of objects and custom projects for businesses.
Before scaling up, we suggest a pilot: one establishment, one series of details, one month. We define the success criteria in advance: guests photograph and tag the objects, the establishment orders a continuation, and the series recoups the material and labor costs.
The studio can launch with minimal investment: the workshop and tools are already available, and all pieces are handmade.
To get started, we need materials for the first collection, venues for showcasing and sales, and a first client for the pilot project.
