Concept
The series of scarves was created as an extension of the «Scarlet Bloom» project. The focus is on scarves featuring lilies—the flowers of death in a time of terrible epidemic. The blossoms tear through delicate flesh, and the tangled lines of the pattern convey uncertainty and horror. The hyper-saturated colors underscore the fear of contagion. Yet, they are magnetically captivating, for the disease itself has become a symbol of status and prosperity.
