Vladimir Kozmich Zvorikin
(July 29, 1888–July 29, 1982)
American inventor of Russian origin who created key technologies for mass television broadcasting.Father of modern television.

The exhibition is dedicated to an inventor whose biography is explored through the epic narrative of a modern-day hero—someone who transformed the ancient motif of overcoming distance into technological reality.
The newspaper «Pravda» named Vladimir Zvorikin a «hero» for his decisive contribution to the development of electronic television. Later, this nickname transformed into «Zvorikin the Muromets"—due to the association with Ilya Muromets. Just as Ilya «teleported» between cities in the epic tales, Zvorikin provided humanity with the ability to instantly transmit images across the world, becoming a new hero from Murom.

For the project, the Zworykin typeface was developed—a display techno-archaism with an assortment of alternative weights. The concept is based on Old Russian Cyrillic, adapted for the kinescope format. To enhance the effect, the contours of an optical lens and television static were utilized.
