The objective of this module was to implement a collaborative project. My collaboration with a Zvenigorod tour guide chronicles a journey deep into time, brought to life through the guide’s stories of the city’s legends.
Introduction
Our guide, Evgeniy—a graduate of Moscow State University and former history lecturer—illuminates the city’s hidden cultural strata, which are revealed not on a map, but through a compelling narrative. With him, we travel not by kilometers, but through epochs: from Ancient Rus' to Chekhov’s country estates, meeting artists, performers, and exploring protected sites. Behind the facades and streets emerge real people, historical deeds, and the indelible marks of time.
