Concept
In this module, our task was to create a zine about ourselves. I chose a collage technique that is unfamiliar to me and partially revisited a project I worked on during my third year of undergraduate comics.
As part of working on my zine, I asked various acquaintances—close friends, classmates, and professors—to draw one or several horses using any technique they preferred, and then I assembled the horse images into collages or arranged them across the zine’s pages.
My vision is that different people can create something cohesive and deeply warm through shared effort—something they could not achieve alone.
Through my zine, I highlight their differences—differences that, in contrast to one another, make every person or every horse unique and irresistibly beautiful.
