W1 Team Montage
Research
The primary focus of this research is the process itself. Our discussion with the students from W1 revealed that documenting the process is a personal interest for them.
We are interested in how every object in the montage is created: what components it is made of, how they connect, and how the traces of production can become part of the final form.

W1 Team Assembly
What have you accomplished so far?
— Identified elements of a graphic language and began building its system
— Created the first carriers (stamps, carabiners)
At the core of graphics is the concept of reassembly. We view visual language as a canvas that is formed from individual elements, gaining coherence through the interaction of these parts.
The concept of reassembly led us to pseudographics and Unicode symbols from which images are built. We utilize these elements in our design.
We began developing physical media: prototypes for carabiners and seals have been created.

What’s next?
— Developing the website
— Creating prototypes of physical media
