Cover Design Challenge: Frame the theme as a narrative of movement, exploration, or change.
Formulate your theme as the beginning of a journey or a story of transformation, rather than a static concept. Formulations involving motion, challenge, or inquiry work particularly well. The cover must promise development, not merely present facts.
Step 2. Protagonist
Представить героя, с которым можно соотнестись
Show the protagonist specifically: through a situation, motivation, and initial conditions. It is important to create a sense of identification—similarity in role, task, or state. The clearer the starting point, the stronger the perceived change will be.
Step 3. Trial
Провести героя через трудности, решения и внутренние повороты
Show the journey not as a seamless process, but as a sequence of calls and choices. Include doubt, errors, and tension—they heighten empathy. Do not rush this section too quickly: engagement is born from experiencing difficulty.
Step 4. Transformation
Показать, как изменился герой — в понимании, подходе или состоянии
Focus not on the external victory, but on the internal transformation of the protagonist. Metamorphosis is a new lens, a decision, or a method of action. What matters to the viewer is seeing exactly what has changed within the journey.
Step 5. Finale
Закрепить пережитый путь как универсальный смысл
Connect the character’s transformation to a broader theme or principle that extends beyond the story. Help the audience mentally map their own lived experiences onto the narrative. The ending should evoke a sense of internal experience, rather than merely recounting a story.
