Introduction and Project Concept
The VkusVill Office + Café project envisions the integration of a workspace and an urban café within the «Omega Plaza» business center in Moscow. The core concept is to create a unified environment where work, dining, and relaxation support the brand’s philosophy: caring for the quality of daily life. The concept is a public and workspace totaling approximately 350 square meters, encompassing the brand’s team office and an urban café.
The VkusVill Brand Story
The brand’s history charts a course from a specialized dairy store to an ecosystem of daily services. These key milestones are vital for the project as they explain the transition from simply selling products to pioneering new formats of nutrition and service.
Start: «Izbyonka,» 2009–2011
In 2009, the first «Izbyonka» store opened in Moscow, initially focused primarily on dairy products. The core of this format was transparency in ingredients, quality, and customer trust. As customer demands grew, the product assortment expanded, and by 2011, the network had grown to approximately 80 stores.

VkusVill’s Arrival, 2012–2016
The first VkusVill stores, featuring a broader product selection, opened in 2012. Despite initial challenges, the brand grew by focusing on everyday staple foods. By 2015–2016, the network had expanded significantly, establishing VkusVill as a distinct and recognizable format.

Digital Services and New Formats, 2017–2020
During this period, the company developed online ordering, delivery, and digital services. Compact formats appeared, including micro-markets for office environments. This was a vital stage for the concept: quality food became part of not only the home but also the workday.

Ecosystem and Cafés, 2021–2025
In the 2020s, VkusVill expanded its delivery, ready-to-eat food offerings, and new service formats, including cafés and micro-markets. The company gradually evolved into an ecosystem that unites products and services around people’s daily needs.

The office and cafe should logically be unified by the brand’s shared value—making quality nutrition and comfort accessible throughout the workday.
History and Context of the Space: «Omega Plaza»
«Omega Plaza» exterior view
«Omega Plaza» is located at 19 Leninskaya Sloboda, Moscow, near the Third Transport Ring and just a few minutes' walk from Avtozavodskaya Metro station. The business center was established in the late 2000s and reopened after reconstruction in 2009; some sources also list 2008 as the year of construction. The complex’s commercial function and consistent flow of employees create demand for daily café needs: breakfast, lunch, coffee, and takeout food. For this project, convenient entry, clear navigation, and fast service are crucial.

Zeitgeist: How the Work Environment is Changing
The modern urban rhythm is reshaping the very concept of the office: it is no longer just a place to complete tasks, but an environment for focus, connection, and rejuvenation. Work, dining, and leisure are increasingly perceived as parts of a single daily experience. For people, the ability to choose their stay scenario, comfortable acoustics, natural light, and spots for short breaks are important. Therefore, an office requires a balance between open team areas and spaces for concentrated work, while a cafe must support both quick orders and peaceful meals.

Genius Loci: «Omega Plaza» and the Danilovsky District
Danilovsky District blends the industrial heritage of the ZIL factory with the natural history of Tyufeleva Grove. This context serves as the starting point for the VkusVill concept: where clean geometry and functionality meet greenery, wood textures, and soft light. The project’s idea is «Nature within the Urban Rhythm"—a space that unites office functionality, cafe hospitality, and care for people.
