«ON THE WAY» — A sonic journey through Moscow
The concept is a vinyl record that transforms a familiar city route into an auditory journey. The project centers on the route from «Komsomolskaya» Metro Station to the HSE Art and Design School, passing through Kurskaya, Taganskaya, and Paveletskaya.
«On the Way» is a documentary audio composition, composed of the sounds of everyday urban life: footsteps, street noise, escalators, moving trains, subway announcements, and passersby voices. The recording is divided into nine sound episodes, including «The City Wakes Up, ” „Step by Step, ” „Underground, ” „The Last Five Minutes, ” and „Arrival Point.“ Each episode corresponds to a specific stage of the journey.
You can not only see a city, but also hear it. Even the most ordinary walk to the university possesses its own rhythm, soundscape, and unique atmosphere.
