Meyerhold’s director (before he became bourgeois) had numerous agitprop projects: «Theatre of Revolution,» «Campaign Theatre,» «Spectacle-Meeting,» and others.
Artist Shaburov and his partner from the «Blue Noses» group, Mizin, decided not to lag behind Meyerhold:
— «Blue Noses» are the heirs of the «Blue Blouse»! — they declared.
The «Blue Blouse» was a general term for youth agitprop brigades of the first years of Soviet power, who utilized simple constructivist sets, rallying verses in the style of Mayakovsky, pantomime, and even acrobatics.
— In the morning—in the newspaper, in the evening—in video art, performance, or lightbox! — declared the «Blue Noses.»
In this video, they depict current events and the new realities of 2004 and invite viewers to guess what they are.
