Evening in the Olympic Village

One evening after the competition concluded. Up until then, there had been schedules, practices, performances, restrictions, and constant tension—but in the evening, we could finally just relax and be ordinary teenagers. We sat in a small common area between the rooms, talked about everything, got closer to each other, laughed, and ate things that were usually forbidden.

The animation depicts the situation from the coach’s perspective, who came into our room late at night because our door was open. Without a word, she looked at us and at the food, and then left without saying anything.
