Description
Dressed entirely in black, I sit at a table. On the table are a roll of paper, a pen, and tape. I begin counting out loud, starting from zero, and record each spoken number in a column on the roll of paper. I continue counting until the performance time ends or my voice gives out. Then, I tear the written piece of paper from the roll and attach it to the wall behind me, leaving the performance space.

Concept
The global city is a «digital» environment. Numbers fill the metropolis as a measure of things, space, and ever-shrinking time. The larger the city, the more numbers it contains: addresses, dates, numbers, lengths, heights, road signs, and the code of illuminated billboards.
Called to make things more understandable, urban numbers lead to abstraction. Does the number 30 really tell me that this bus can get me home? Why do I trust these icons so much?

Performance Implementation Example (3D Model)
Living «in the rhythm of the city» remains inaccessible to me. I perceive the big city as a chaotic space of sudden events and constant change. Here is a new road intersection, a new address, or a subway station. A familiar street grows with new faces and façades, and I find it difficult to recognize it.
Constantly immersed in the cacophony of urban landscapes, I seek rhythm, tranquility, and predictability.

The «In Rhythm» project is an invitation to experience at least a temporary sense of certainty amidst the chaos of the city—an attempt to organize urban numbers. Counting aloud transforms a numerical sequence into a poem with its own rhythm. Since natural numbers follow a sequence everyone knows, you can start listening to the count at any point and immediately be in context: understanding what has passed, and even more—knowing what is to come.Writing it down is another way to take control of the situation. While it is unknown what number will be named last, it can become a new starting point, a clear moment to begin a possible new poem, and simultaneously, a continuation of the old.

Exhibition Options
I need a space measuring 1.5 by 1.5 meters where I can place a table and a chair, and a clear wall behind me (the width of the unoccupied wall space should be about 1.5 m). The parameters of the table and chair are not critical. I am willing to bring my own furniture or use the table/desk and chair provided by the gallery.
