The cover was designed for the «In Search of the Blue Bird» competition and represents a project by a team of college students—a quest journey through Moscow’s iconic locations connected to the history of the MKhT and Maurice Maeterlinck’s play, The Blue Bird.
Participants follow a route from one location to another, solving riddles and meeting characters from the work, who gradually lead them to the main goal—the Blue Bird. In designing the cover, the aim was to convey a sense of a slightly fairy-tale-like and mysterious journey, while simultaneously making it contemporary and linking the play’s history to modern-day Moscow.
