«Don’t you want to make games for kids my partner asked me.

And now I think that he’s right, my style is cute and childish enough. Why not?

I’ ve been drawing my  whole life. I  love doing anything and everything related to  2D. My  visual style is  fairly minimalist and cute, which means it can be applied across different areas: from regular illustrations to  concept art for figurines or  merch.

My advantage: clean work and constant communication at every stage of the process. I clean up my work thoroughly so there isn’t a single stray pixel, and constant communication lets both me and the client wrap things up quickly.

post

Hello everyone, my name is Kristina, or Tomino (my nickname). I’m 2D artist, digital artist, generalist.

I specialize in:

anything in 2D
✧ concept art
✧ commissions
✧ overlays, panels, and other stream assets
✧ UI and game feedback (sounds, VFX)

I can also:

✧ do level design
✧ create 3D models, from blockout to texturing and
animation
✧ do a bit of coding in BlueprintsI’m open to commissions and to the opportunity to work on an indie project! I’m always happy to try something new.

Below are some examples of  my  work. The background concepts were made specifically for my  games.

The main goal there was to  convey the atmosphere.

In  my  regular work, my  task is  to capture the characters’ personalities and render every design detail, even when I’ m told many of  them can be  left out.

Here’s what my workflow looks like: receiving a brief -> research -> gathering references -> rough sketch -> client revisions (or none) -> clean-up -> revisions (or none) -> final work.

ROOTED PEACE

2D  meditative simulator with puzzle elements, where you expand a  garden and unlock new plant species

designs of plants and main hero

On this project I handled absolutely everything: code, arts, research, sound design e.t.c.
So in a short amount of time my task was to develop a large number of unique plants and illustrate their growth stages.First, I picked out game references and matched each soil type with several animal species, and each of those with its own plant. Then I built a base for the animals, which I later reworked for each specific species, and after that I was able to quickly block out the plant shapes. In the end, not counting the other assets, I maked 14 animals, 13 finished animals with plants, and 32 assets showing growth stages.

FOOD HEAVEN

Here, again, I wore many hats. I needed to design the kitchenware, ingredients, cookbook, and other decor so that the game level looked cohesive.I managed to create visually pleasing assets that didn’t stand out and blended well with my co-author’s assets. Unlike the first project, the emphasis here was on texture and a lineless style.

nedodelki

is  my  solo project.

It’ s a  mini-museum showcasing 2  of  my  unfinished games.

design of game characters

My task here was to create a 3D model of the museum and 2 game installations in a short timeframe.I chose the most fitting style: unfinished/sketchy, which allowed me to put this project together quickly. I made several assets, some of which I animated. Here you can download and see project
