«Menu» is a satirical thriller by Mark Mylod about a young couple who visits a restaurant on a secluded island, where a renowned chef prepares a deadly dinner for the guests.

It is simultaneously an ironic and unsettling story about the obsession with perfection, social inequality, and art that loses its meaning in the pursuit of recognition.

In the alternate title sequence, I merged the laconic graphic style of Saul Bass with restaurant rituals, transforming the film participants' names into ingredients and dishes. The letters jump out of a boiling pot, float in glasses, assemble into a burger, and are served under cloches.

Angular silhouettes, a contrasting color palette, and rhythmic animation convey the atmosphere of a kitchen where every action adheres to a strict order. The sequence of scenes builds into a complete dinner, which culminates with the appearance of the bill.
This approach strikes a balance between a playful presentation and a sense of underlying threat, mirroring the blend of dark humor and tension upon which the film is built.
