«The Cheese Tapestry» continues the theme of my non-fiction thesis book—a city guide to Kostroma. The little mouse is enjoying the best moment of his life; who wouldn’t be happy to find themselves there—rolling in a whole mountain of cheese.
To make the illustration perform better on the woven tapestry, I slightly reworked it to adapt to the format: I removed semi-transparent or shimmering textures and color gradients, flattened the objects, prioritized clear delineation of elements for improved readability, and increased the thickness of the linear elements. The resulting image was cropped to the necessary dimensions while maintaining composition.
