Connection gives rise to the perception of space, and gives birth to consciousness. Sound gives rise to connection.

Interest in the influence of music on the brain is not new in principle. As far back as the 19th century, scientists attempted to demonstrate the connection between emotional states and audible sound.

Do we hear dissonance, or does the brain perceive it on a genetic level?
Sound as a conductor between neurons and society.

Sound helps restore connections between brain hemispheres, reestablishing contact with the surrounding world.

Jim Turner: «I think this is a very interesting time, when it becomes possible to listen to your brain waves and try to understand what is happening in consciousness.» [5]

As you can see, many installations are aimed at visualizing and sonifying dreams and thoughts. Here, art helps discover a connection with the hidden world of the mind.

Literally, brainwaves help establish a connection between participants. The alternating prompting of two installation components creates an imagined engine. Sound and light are generated by changes in participants' moods.

Most things are subjective. Each person perceives reality discretely due to the capabilities of our brains. This discreteness varies, but a connection can be maintained if we remember these differences.

Due to stress, a person can feel lost in space; they lose connection with themselves and the external world. Integrating art into «necessity» zones helps restore a sense of security.
