What’s next for the film industry? The anniversary Content Forum concluded in St. Petersburg.

At the forum venue, there were presentations of new projects, negotiations, conferences, equipment exhibitions, and discussions on industry challenges. This is where the rental and television agendas were shaped: industry representatives determined which projects audiences would see in movie theaters, on television, and online.
Companies such as «Central Partnership, ” „Atmosphere Kino, ” „Karo Premier, ” „Paradise, ” „Nashe Kino, ” „Volga, ” „Capella Film, ” „NMG KinoProkat, ” and „Exponenta Film“ presented their projects. Forum guests were the first in Russia to see the feature films „Birth of an Empire, ” „Battle of Engines, ” „The Woven Husband, ” and „Rocky—That’s Me.“ Fragments of other films, scheduled for release between 2027–2028, were also shown at the forum.

TNT Director Tina Kandelaki commented on the upcoming premiere of the film «The Merry Rogue»:
We are absolutely on a growth trajectory in 2026 that allows us to satisfy any viewer. I am very excited about «The Merry Wanderer.» I am a huge fan of this universe. I hope we can be involved in the marketing and promotion of this piece.
Among the upcoming premieres are «The Ninth Planet,» releasing on September 24th; «Battle of Engines» on October 8th; «Morozko» on October 22nd; «The Hunger Games: Harvest Dawn» on November 19th; «Rocky Is Me» on November 26th; and «Yolka 13» on December 17th. The main New Year’s premieres will be «The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: Great and Terrible,» «Cheburashka 3,» and «Khottabych"—these will be released on January 1, 2027.
The St. Petersburg International Film Festival (SPbMKF) has been held in St. Petersburg for 25 years. This year marked its silver jubilee, the XXV forum. In a quarter-century, it has become the largest and one of the most significant events in the film content industry in Russia and the CIS countries. Another major industry event is the CSTB.PRO.MEDIA forum, which takes place annually in Moscow. The 28th forum was held in February 2026.
