Imagine a person in the modern world who seems to exist in a state of slow sleep or lethargy. This person fails to notice the events happening around them—political shifts, social changes, and historical processes. They do not react to changes in the surrounding world, remaining a passive observer.

In this project, I am using my accumulated photographs of people sleeping on the streets of Moscow, transforming them into three-dimensional monuments, inspired by the history of Ivan Kachalkin—who slept through two revolutions in a lethargic slumber and awoke in a new era 22 years later.
