Paper sculpture is the art of modeling volumetric compositions and three-dimensional sculptures from a single sheet or individual fragments of paper.

This approach is utilized across numerous design disciplines. Whether it is architecture, furniture, lighting, apparel, and so on—it serves as an excellent tool for generating novel ideas and forms.

After experiencing paper prototyping firsthand, I quickly moved on to sketching.
I wanted to convey the aesthetic and smoothness of the forms without visually overwhelming the viewer. After eliminating unsuitable options, I moved on to scaling down and refining simpler solutions.

The 3D modeling process led me to a recognizable and accessible solution. One of the most common schemes for cutting such a template is volumetric ring structures.
This specific option was chosen as the basis and sent to production.
The other sketches were not selected for implementation because they did not meet criteria such as:
- material consumption
- cost
- manufacturing complexity
