Concept
The pattern for the scarf is assembled from important symbols of the board game «Housekeeping,» inspired by Diana Wynne Jones’s book, «Howl’s Moving Castle.» The flower represents the bloom of new life after triumphing over the witch, the flowers in the swamp; the spiderweb is an integral part of Howl’s home, the mop is the tool Sophie uses to battle eternal chaos, and the fire is the light of Calcifer.
