SEVEN PORTRAITS OF THE UNDERGROUND | St. Petersburg, 2026
«Seven Portraits of the Underground» is an educational video project about the stations of the St. Petersburg Metro—their past and present. Through architecture, historical facts, and visual imagery, we offer a new perspective on a familiar space.
Every city has its own portrait. And St. Petersburg has seven hidden ones beneath the ground.
The Metro has long become a part of daily life: we rush to work and classes, meet, and transfer from one line to another. But behind the usual routes lies something more profound—the city’s history, the architecture of different eras, and details easily overlooked in the daily rush.
Seven stations. Seven stories. One city that never ceases to amaze.
