«Dust Collector of Memory”—a study in political minimalism concerning the vanishing Soviet ethos, alongside a lyrical meditation on gentrification. It is a narrative about how the past is inevitably erased and forgotten.
The primary medium is dust collected from the factory grounds. It was not merely a byproduct of the manufacturing process; it served as the last archival material preserving the memory of the site. Photographs depicting how the dust settled on various surfaces informed the creation of the paintings.
By returning the dust to its place and rendering it visible, the artist reinstates an essential component of the site—one that had been deliberately chosen for erasure and disregard.
