The ZINE immerses the reader in the mysterious world of Vatican legends.
The ZINE cover functions as a kind of map-guide: key points on a schematic plan of the Vatican are marked. Each marker not only indicates a location but also hints at the essence of the story connected to it.
As the reader progresses, they take a real journey through the Vatican’s catacombs.
The climax is the legend of the last 112th Pope, illustrated on the final spread. The red smoke alludes to the ancient tradition of papal election.
