When humans abandon structures, time dramatically alters their appearance. Photographers frequently capture abandoned buildings, squares, and entire cities, conveying the eerie atmosphere of time’s merciless passage. However, forgotten spaces from childhood evoke a distinct kind of emotion. This visual study is dedicated to these neglected childhood locales—abandoned gardens, schools, parks, and playgrounds across China—each retaining traces of a past and history that is slowly fading away.
