Concept
The decoration is inspired by the architectural plasticity of Christian de Portzamparc and his flowing forms at the Suzhou Culture Center.
The pendant is a curved metal ribbon with an internal rhythmic structure that creates depth and plays with light. The contrast between the smooth outer surface and the structured inner volume reflects the architectural principle of interaction between shell and space.
Suzhou Cultural Center
The Suzhou Cultural Center is built on the shore of Taihu Lake, in the Huxiang Area of the «New Taihu Town.» Its architecture creates a novel landscape, uniting water, sky, and the city through the interplay of rainbow reflections on a metallic ribbon.
