Every summer, Moscow transforms into a labyrinth of temporary metal fencing. These barriers conceal construction sites, stored building materials, and other diverse remnants of urban life—everything that undermines the perception of the city as a finished, visually noise-free, controlled space. Such fences serve not only a protective function but also a representational one: the perforations applied to them usually form neutral and easily recognizable imagery—silhouettes of trees, tower cranes, excavators, and other signs of development. They prompt the passerby not to see what is behind the fence, but to perceive the construction as an abstract process of renewal.

the concepts are under development and may be changed as needed

In the project, the usual set of such images is replaced with everyday scenes from city dwellers' lives. Scenarios emerge on metal panels—situations that the urban environment typically pushes to the periphery of attention: resting, waiting, storing possessions, private gestures. These narratives bring us back to the presence of human life in all its material, imperfect, and often inappropriate concreteness.

Installation option: metal legs + concrete supports
assembly option. approximate dimensions of the installation are 5 m x 3 m (with a zigzag setup)
Possible panel sizes: 2 m × 1.6 m / 2 m × 1 m (two sections)
Project Estimate
• Cost of one perforated galvanized sheet, 0.5 mm — starting from 6,500 RUB (for a section size of 2 m × 1.6 m) • Fastening for one section (concrete block, metal tubing) — 1,700 RUB
The project anticipates no more than 6 sections. Total estimated cost ~ 49,200 RUB
Manufacturing one panel takes 2 weeks
