INTRODUCTION
Project Topic — Developing a concept for the Poison Drop designer jewelry brand office within the Omega Plaza business center on Avtozavodskaya in Moscow.
The goal of the preliminary analysis is to study the characteristics of the chosen location, the company’s specific nature, and current requirements for office spaces, and subsequently determine the main directions for the further development of the layout and interior design.
Tasks of the preliminary analysis:
1) study the history and characteristics of the site (genius loci);
2) determine relevant trends in office space design (zeitgeist);
3) identify the archetypal foundation for the design project;
4) analyze existing global office prototypes;
5) define the functional zoning of the space.
Chapter 1. The Brand as a Starting Point

For the Omega Plaza placement, the brand Poison Drop was chosen—a Russian designer jewelry department store founded in 2013 by Andrey Migunov and Irina Kuznetsova. Initially conceived as an online platform, the company later expanded into physical retail, opening flagship stores in Moscow and Dubai. Today, Poison Drop features over 120 brands in its marketplace—ranging from niche Russian labels to global names like Marni and MM6 Maison Margiela.
Poison Drop is more than a name—it is a philosophy. It translates to «drop of poison» or «drop of aphrodisiac"—that final touch to an image that makes it complete. Accessories here serve as a tool of communication—about gender, self-perception, and personal freedom.

However, a key fact relevant to office design is that Poison Drop is not only a retailer but also a manufacturer. The company’s proprietary brand, Poisoned Hearts, accounts for 40% of total sales. This brand, which grew out of an experimental stained glass line, was established as a standalone label in 2026.
In addition, Poison Drop functions as a platform for collaborations. The company regularly launches joint collections with independent designers, artists, and media personalities (such as Masha Yankovskaya, Gohar, and SHAMELESS). A collaboration here is not a one-off event but part of a long-term strategy. It is this principle of co-creation, uniting talents, and generating new meaning that forms the conceptual basis for the office design. The office in Omega Plaza should not merely be a space where employees sit, but a physical nexus for these collaborations—a «workshop» where designers, buyers, and invited artists converge.
Chapter 2. Spirit of Place
Omega Plaza Business Center is located in the Danilovsky District of Moscow, in close proximity to Avtozavodskaya metro station, MCC, and the Third Ring Road. It is a B+ class office complex with its own parking and developed infrastructure, making it a convenient venue for housing a major brand’s project office.

However, this location was not always a business district. Before the construction of the modern business center, the mechanical factory of engineer Alexander Bari, established in 1893, was situated here. The factory specialized in producing steel boilers, tanks, and riveted products.Vladimir Shukhov worked right here—an engineer whose hyperboloid structures became a symbol of industrial architecture. Bari’s factory produced steam boilers according to his system, directly linking this place to the history of engineering thought and metalworking.
The spirit of this space is one of steel, precision engineering, and creation. The rugged industrial framework—concrete columns, exposed utilities, brick texture—will not be disguised as a sterile office. Instead, it will serve as a robust «frame» into which the bright and provocative Poison Drop brand will be inserted. The contrast between a heavy, industrial past and a light, fashionable present creates an engaging, contrasting environment.
