The project is on display at the School of Design Gallery in Vinzavod until December 1, 2026.
CONCEPT
The installation piece «Surface Light Sound» was created within the context of the exhibition «What Have You Done for Hip-Hop in Your Years?» and incorporates both the conceptual framework of the exhibition and a connection to Sila Sveta’s aesthetic. The composition is based on the sonification of objects by Lina Borisova from the series «How to Care for a Surface Using Light?». These images are the primary subject for sound generation. All six parts—sonic textures reflecting light’s influence on depth, dispersion, and the character of the relief—were composed entirely on the Neutron semi-modular synthesizer.
