Listen to yourself from an outside perspective

Project Concept

This project focuses on the impact of others' words on self-perception and vulnerability within intimate relationships. My first relationship lasted nine years and ended in divorce a year ago. Even now, I remember my ex-partner’s words—his accusations and criticisms continue to shape my self-perception. Verbal aggression is often perceived as a natural part of communication, but even after a breakup, other people’s words continue to affect us, gradually becoming part of our internal dialogue.

This project isn’t about seeking comfort; it’s about reclaiming autonomy. For me, it’s vital to create a space where one can stop ashamed of their vulnerability and sensitivity to the words of others. Through a book, I want to share this experience with the viewer—to detach from the pain, acknowledge vulnerability, and stop internalizing others' judgments. The video is an attempt to act differently—to stop reproducing external evaluations and regain the right to define my own relationship with myself.
