Behind the curtain is a series of collectible figures inspired by D.V. Grigorovich’s novel and circus aesthetics. The characters represent the state of the body after a circus performance. They are based on strong plasticity, much like typography. The heroes are depicted after the show. The tricks are over, everyone leaves, but the artists' bodies remain in frozen and unnatural poses.
Every figurine is a moment of the final trick.

The color palette for the «Behind the Curtain» collection is built on a combination of deep burgundy, black, and milky white. The burgundy references theatrical curtains and circus aesthetics. Black creates contrast and emphasizes the plasticity of the figures, while the light tone softens the composition and highlights individual body elements. The color helps reveal their silhouettes without overloading the objects with decorative details.

Curve
The body maintains movement after completing the trick. The fluid S-shaped line of the torso and elongated limbs create a sense of precarious balance.
Curve
Loop
The body spirals into a closed contour. The figure conveys the repetition of movement and the tension frozen within a rounded form.
Loop
Disruption
The body stretches in opposing directions. The broken plasticity creates a sense of fragile balance and unfinished motion.
Disruption
Collapse
The body folds into a deep arc, arms reaching toward the floor. The figure conveys exhaustion after a performance and a weight that overcomes the familiar shape of the body.
Collapsing
Bend
The body folds and intertwines, forming a complex, compact shape. The figure demonstrates the limit of plasticity, holding an unnatural position even after the trick is completed.
Breakpoint
The anticipated height of the figure is approximately 200 mm. Final dimensions will be determined after preparing the 3D models for printing.
