I create conceptual clothing at the intersection of art, history, and contemporary design. Through silhouette, texture, print, and construction, I transform cultural research and human experiences into expressive visual images, maintaining a balance between the artistic idea and quality of execution

PROJECT 2 — SILENCE / ANN DEMEULEMEESTER DNA

Brand identity → new visual narrative

big
Original size 1874x1324

Context: The project explores the DNA of Ann Demeulemeester — melancholy, romanticism, and detachment — through the lens of Belgian artist Léon Spilliaert. The challenge was to translate these abstract themes into a wearable collection without losing the brand’s identity.Approach: I studied the brand’s signature asymmetric cuts, fluid fabrics, and soft silhouettes, then reinterpreted them through Spilliaert’s visual language of solitude and reflection — treating loneliness not as emptiness, but as a ritual of self-reflection.

Original size 1877x1324

Solution: A seven-look capsule collection featuring deconstructed tailoring, layered sheer textiles, and prints derived from Spilliaert’s ink washes.

Original size 1877x1325

Result: The project demonstrates my ability to work within an existing brand’s DNA while proposing a fresh visual narrative — directly applicable to B2B collaborations with independent labels

Original size 1878x1323

PROJECT 3 — TRACES

Absence → material trace

Original size 1679x1178

Context: The project is a study of memory that remains after a person leaves a space. The home stops being a physical place and becomes a lost recollection — echoes of presence: shadows on walls, folds in fabric, frozen light.Approach: I treated clothing as a carrier of these traces, fixing through cut, texture, and colour what can no longer be returned but continues to exist inside a person.

Original size 1668x1177

Solution: A collection built on tactile materials, muted tones, and prints derived from domestic imagery — chandeliers, chequered floors, dandelions — combined with soft, deconstructed silhouettes.

Original size 1675x1177

Result: The collection demonstrates my ability to build a coherent visual narrative from an abstract concept — a skill relevant for cultural institutions and brands seeking emotional depth.

Original size 1672x1185

PROJECT 3 — ICE-SKATING AND CIVIL WAR / HISTORICAL COSTUME

Archive → reconstruction → garment

Context: How can a 19th-century sporting costume be reconstructed and rethought in the context of contemporary trends, preserving its historical logic while making it wearable today?Approach: I researched historical illustrations and patterns of 19th-century sportswear (White Muslin Spencer, Zouave jackets), reconstructed the pattern blocks from archival sources, and selected materials that match the historical palette — including fur, pleated muslin, and corsetry.

Original size 1873x1324

Solution: A reconstructed sporting ensemble including a pleated muslin bodice, a fur-trimmed spencer jacket, a full skirt, and a corset — built from historical patterns and adapted to a modern silhouette.

Original size 1871x1322

Result: The project demonstrates my ability to work with archival patterns and historical construction techniques — from pattern reconstruction to finished garment — a skill directly applicable to costume design for theatre, cinema, and cultural institutions.

Original size 1874x1320
