People often feel apprehension, anxiety, or even mild disgust when encountering unusual mushrooms. Their strange forms appear alien and potentially dangerous, so the initial reaction is frequently a desire to destroy the object, crush it, or make it safe and harmless.
The project explores this psychological mechanism through the transformation of form. The mushroom becomes the object of influence; it is symbolically flattened with dishes placed upon it. As a result, what initially caused discomfort acquires a new function and becomes part of the everyday environment.
