Job Description
This work explores the aesthetics of digital decay by reinterpreting the popular genre of internet videos in which various objects and toys are destroyed under a hydraulic press. The AI-generated image translates the mechanics of physical destruction into a digital environment: the toy does not simply deform under pressure—it disintegrates into pixels, artifacts, and fragments of visual information.

This process becomes a metaphor for AI slop—mass-produced, low-quality content flooding the digital space. Like gastric juice, the media environment constantly consumes, processes, and decomposes images, transforming them into an amorphous visual mass. The disintegration here occurs simultaneously on two levels: the physical, borrowed from viral videos, and the digital, where the image itself loses its integrity. The work continues the logic of visual investigation dedicated to how contemporary artists interpret trash content, its aesthetics, and its production mechanisms. By utilizing artificial intelligence—one of the tools for mass generation of such content—the piece turns its own visual logic toward an examination of digital decay.
