On October 23rd, the cultural center «Dom» hosted the musical evening «HOMEY, ” dedicated to the art of traditional Tuvan throat singing.

The task involved creating a poster from nine A4 sheets, each of which had to function as an independent composition while simultaneously contributing to a single cohesive image.

The work was based on a module drawn by the instructor. Its shape reminded me of a musical note, which became the starting point for the visual interpretation of throat singing. Thus, the composition of the work is founded on associations with a musical staff, and also partially with the internal structure of the human throat.
On every A4 sheet, I repeatedly reproduced the module’s outline to create individual compositions. I then combined the sheets into a single poster, arranging them like a jigsaw puzzle.
