Pinezhye: The Fair Code
Part 2
From March 9th to 16th, a student expedition took place in Pinezhye. The design team developed design materials for the fair, which later became the foundation for the brand book.
In August, the following expedition took place, during which brand book assets were realized and photographed.
The Blagoveshchenskaya Fair is an annual cultural, trade, and community event in the village of Pinega, Arkhangelsk Oblast, which was revived in 2016 after a break of over a century.The Fair takes place every March in the Volodinsky Quarter—the historical merchant heart of Pinega—and is dedicated to the Orthodox feast of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos—a symbol of spring, rebirth, and good tidings.
Target Audience
Residents of Pinezhye and the Arkhangelsk region: For them, the fair is a community gathering point—a reason to meet and feel pride in their territory. Age: from children to seniors.
Authentic tourists from major cities: They seek the «living North, ” not just a beautiful picture. They want to leave with the feeling that they have touched something real. They value environmental consciousness and ethno-culture. Age: 25–45 years.
Artisans, craftsmen, farmers: For small businesses in Pinezhye and neighboring districts, the fair is a sales platform, a place for business contacts, and an opportunity to establish their brand. Age: 50–80 years.
