The project features interviews with musicians, producers, and artists, short reviews, release creation stories, and retrospectives on seminal recordings. The numbering with larger intervals refers to syncopation—an uneven musical rhythm—and the section headings are displayed with vertical lines on the right edge. The rubrics are color-coded for ease of use and quick navigation.
To maintain the tempo and rhythm, the short reviews occupy one page and are distributed between major sections throughout the publication.
Review
To immerse the reader further in the artist, color is introduced in the extensive artist profiles—filling the pages and coloring the photographs. Accent typography is added, and release covers take a secondary role.
