On New Year’s vacation, as part of an animation course, I did several exercises, many of which were combined into one cartoon. The result was the adventure of Kake, the cats from The Time of Adventure, as well as the turn around the axis of another character in the cartoon, Marceline.
As a result, I managed to demoralize the animator’s Portfolio. Kake’s cartoon consists of several blocks, each of which has a disguise.
First block
It’s an object jump with a tail morphing through the effects. He made me realize how the tail should move behind the character, and I also learned how to animate fire, and now his drawing is one of my favorite things in animation! : D

Second block
The second block is the pendulum. I worked out the movement with the weight moving and the character spinning. The inertia of the lower part of the pillow had to be convincingly transferred. It made me feel the weight of characters.
Third cluster
The third block is a blow. When I studied the material, I learned that the force of impact depended on the swing and reflected it in my cartoon. I’ve also taken the shrapnel seriously, and it looks more realistic when it doesn’t fall at the same time, but in the back.
Background
It’s probably the first time I’ve ever made a background so sophisticated in terms of detail and lighting, because there’s not enough time in the training projects to do that. I like the final result very much. Warm light transmits the atmosphere
The character’s turn
The most important thing about this exercise is to monitor the proportions of the character from different angles. In doing this exercise, I faced many problems: the thickness of Marcellín’s legs varied according to the angle, which shouldn’t be. Luckily, the handler told me how to fix the mistake, so it worked out well!
Conclusion
I think I’ve managed the course program. After studying the materials and various exercises, I learned a lot of new things that will allow me to make better cartoons in the future. Plus, there’s another great cartoon in my portfolio now!
