The single-channel video installation, «He Sees Everything, ” was created in 2019–2020 during my time at the American Academy in Rome. The music for this video, as well as some others, was composed by the Italian composer Paolo Ricci, with whom I have collaborated for many years.

This angel, born from the archaism of reverse perspective and the radicalism of the High Renaissance, has watched over us for more than five centuries, gazing down from a height of seven meters, with its wings leaning against the corner of the Palazzo Massa Fioravanti.

His gaze tirelessly follows the unending line of passersby moving through time, overcoming the spatial paradoxes of our civilization’s destinies while simultaneously remaining within the Möbius loop geometry of Dante’s «Divine Comedy.»

He holds in his angelic memory everyone who passed him by, awaiting resurrection after the Day of Judgment. He is filled with the hope that we, too, recognize the meaning of his presence on the famous Roman street—via Dei Farnese—where, pausing for a moment, one can hear the rustling sounds—the voices of the eternal Tiber.
