Film Information
Logline
Maggie is a collector who loves anything related to space or its exploration. On a walk, she finds a strange, oddly shaped stone that she adds to her collection. She does not know that the stone houses an ancient god who hungers for reverence, and this god will ruin Maggie’s life to achieve it.
Target Audience: Teens, horror fans, and fans of animated projects with an inspiring spirit.
Genre: Horror-Comedy
Format: A short animated film, which could be developed alongside other potential stories or narratives featuring the protagonist and a piece of a «larger world.»
Duration: 3.5 minutes, during which the short film will establish the main characters, show the progression of the artifact’s effect on the protagonist, creating an atmosphere of dread, and reach its resolution.
Execution: Digital 2D animation, rendered in acidic, «gritty» color palettes to define the character of the surrounding environment and impart a level of visual unease that works in tandem with the narrative.
Character Concepts
Meggy — an avid collector with a deep fascination for space and rocketry. Despite her outwardly obsessive collecting habits, she is not particularly interested in the craft itself, focusing instead on the aesthetics of the topic. While occasionally reserved, she is friendly and sociable, frequently trying to step outside her comfort zone—just not too far outside.

Winnie—Maggie’s closest friend, outgoing and full of energy. Dripping with optimism and an infectious curiosity about everything, she often tries to pull her friend out of her «shell» to argue over who is the bigger nerd. It is Winnie, even if indirectly, who will become the turning point in saving Maggie.
Space Concepts
The film takes place in a strange world of the distant future—a colonized Venus experiencing centuries of decline. Although the planet has been adapted and terraformed to support minimal living conditions, prosperity is nowhere to be found. Despite its vibrancy, the planet itself remains largely unexplored, although signs of past, unseen civilizations have been uncovered during certain archaeological projects.
Soundtrack
The original musical score underscores the horror influence of the work, building tension during more intense scenes and relaxing the viewer when the plot demands it. Instead of dialogue, character voices are rendered as pseudo-speech, performed by various musical instruments. This decision helps preserve the tone of the speech, maintain the emotional experience of the characters, while simultaneously characterizing them through the manner in which certain sounds are rendered.
