The artist’s workspace becomes part of the client experience. Therefore, even small objects can influence the perception of the entire process.

Meanwhile, the beauty industry is becoming increasingly tied to visual culture, individuality, and the creation of a distinct atmosphere.

I decided to approach this issue from the perspective of product design. Instead of creating another set of standard accessories, I want to unify the necessary work items using a shared form, material, and color palette.
The primary audience for this project is manicurists who focus not only on the quality of their work but also on the aesthetic of their workspace. The collection may also interest salon owners looking to create a more cohesive and recognizable interior design.
I focused on an audience for whom everyday objects can be not only functional but also beautiful. That is precisely why the project places significant emphasis on details, materials, and the character of each form.
For my collection, I chose ceramics because this material allows me to create expressive forms and give familiar objects a more sculptural quality.
Unlike many standard plastic accessories, glazed ceramic is perceived as a standalone object of product design. Its surface reflects light, accentuates curves, and creates an interesting interaction with surrounding objects. Ceramics also allows for experimentation with color, proportion, and texture while maintaining the unity of the entire collection.
Furthermore, the material must align with real-world usage conditions. For professional accessories, durability, ease of regular cleaning, and surface compatibility with applied materials are crucial. Therefore, the choice of glaze and manufacturing technique must consider not only the aesthetic appearance but also the practical requirements.
Color Palette
For this collection, I chose a restrained palette featuring milky and dusty rose tones. The milky and beige colors create a calm foundation and emphasize the plasticity of the ceramic forms. The rose adds a soft accent, associating with the aesthetics of the beauty industry, but without making the collection too bright or overly literal.
