My grandmother is an artist from the Russian Far East who has drawn animals of the Eastern calendar every day for many years. Returning to the places of my childhood, I am trying to unravel a family myth—one intertwined with unfulfilled dreams, loss, and mental illness. Through our shared past, I am searching for what helps sustain us through difficult times without losing the joy of creativity.
