Who is Morana?

Morana—a former queen whose reign ended in betrayal. When the siege turned her city into a trap, she trusted the enemy, who promised to preserve her throne and save her people. By opening the gates, she doomed everyone to perish, and for this, she was imprisoned by her own subjects. Centuries have passed, and what remains of the once-mighty ruler is merely a half-living creature, in which the embers of former grandeur and the bitterness of betrayal barely glow.

Musical Solution
For this cinematic piece, I drew inspiration from Medieval aesthetics, so I decided to incorporate elements of music from that era into the soundtrack, specifically Gregorian chants and liturgical choir singing. I used a prompt specifying a slow tempo, a ghostly female choir, and sustained vocal parts without instruments. Since the action takes place in a large stone cathedral, I felt this sound would perfectly convey the atmosphere of the location. Furthermore, the echo helps create the sense of the cathedral’s vastness and adds a touch of mysticism to the soundscape.
Prompt
Gregorian ambient—extremely slow and free-flowing; an ethereal, ghostly female soprano choir layered with deep, warm female harmonies; sustained «ahh» and «ooh» vowels, sparse chant-like melodies, and ancient sacred polyphony; pure a cappella human voices; distant echoes and long natural reverberation within a vast stone cathedral, creating a soft, seamless dark ambiance as the voices slowly fade into silence.
