«BETWEEN» — abstract art object
«Between» is an architectural installation designed to foster thoughtful contemplation of the understated beauty of the central Russian landscape. The project focuses on the inherent value of the familiar, unremarkable environment, which reveals itself through observing its subtle shifts: the movement of light and water, changes in weather, and the passing of the day. The title reflects humanity’s liminal position between opposing natural environments—land and water. The transparent structure and movable platform allow viewers to perceive the surrounding landscape from various levels—both above and beneath the water’s surface. The architecture does not seek to transform the natural setting; rather, it proposes a new way to experience it.

The object’s form-making is inspired by László Moholy-Nagy’s geometric composition, which is built on the overlay and intersection of rectangular shapes.
