«M» — A project exploring the concept of masculinity.
In my observation, it is too multifaceted,
which creates a feeling of blurring the very notion of masculinity, as if it can be seen in everything and nothing simultaneously.
Through the created series, I wanted to EXPLORE this theme and understand exactly where masculinity manifests, note specific visual patterns of this phenomenon, and document them in objects.
An EVA foam sheet was selected for creating the impressions, as it allows for a rather detailed print while preserving texture. When working on the objects for the impressions, handmade lamps were created using thin paper and wooden dowels, illustrating the theme of «illumination» and marking the safety symbol.
