Hello everyone! My name is Georgy Ivanov. Today, I’m presenting three tracks unified by one unusual vocalist. This is a chick named Luchik. I stumbled upon a short video from the Yoll YouTube channel and was instantly captivated. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by bird sounds, but here there was something special—a rhythmic, pure, unusual sound that practically demanded to be in music. I seized on this moment and created a loop—a cyclical vocal sample of Luchik’s. And then the real fun began: I ran this voice through three genres and through the lens of my childhood:

Hearing Lukich’s rhythmic «kookumyav, ” I understood it was a ready-made hook for the beat. I layered it over fat, sustained basslines and melodies. Here, its voice is sliced like a sample, and it sounds rhythmic.

Now—a track that gives me the strongest chills. The genre is EDM, but with a secret. When I was a child, my heart would always skip a beat when I turned on the PlayStation. That crystal-clear, cosmic sound from the PS1 startup and the orchestral «sigh» from the PS2 startup were symbols of magic and adventure to me. And I thought: what if I could fuse the Sony universe with the voice of a hiss?
After such a powerful burst of emotion, you need a soft landing. The third track is Pop. Here, I removed all the heavy bass and loud synthesizers. I wanted to present Luchik’s voice as it is in nature, woven into a verse of a simple, kind song. This evokes the feeling of a Sunday morning when you wake up as a child—birds singing outside, and your only concern is which game to start first. This track is the smile and the light after the night and the beginning of a new day.
So, in these few minutes, we traveled from darkness, through the portal of a game console, straight into a sunny summer. And with us the whole time was Lucik the owl. It’s amazing how one small clip from a YouTube video, connected with warm childhood memories, can transform into three completely different musical worlds. I hope these tracks made you smile or gave you chills, just like it did me when I first started playing the PlayStation and PlayStation 2. Thanks to the Yoll channel for Lucik, and thank you for your attention!
