Курс 3. Дневник повседневности
Практический курс
The Journal as a Method: Observation, documentation, accumulation, and artistic processing of personal experience.
What is this course about?
This course focuses on the diary method as a tool for contemporary artistic expression. The diary is examined not as a literary genre or a personal journal, but as a means of systematically recording experience over time. Throughout the course, participants work with visual, textual, auditory, object-based, performative, and digital forms of diary practice; they explore the mundane, repetition, memory, the presence of the Other, the archive, trace, intimacy, and the boundaries between private and public.
Special attention is paid to the transition from raw diary material to a finished artistic work: developing a system of recording, accumulating material, selecting it, archiving it, montage, and choosing a medium. The outcome of the course is a complete artistic project, based on the diary method and realized in a chosen form: an artist’s book, a series of photographs, video, an audio project, an object, an installation, a performance, a digital project, or a mixed-media form.
